Biography:
Daniel LaRusso is a fictional character best known as the protagonist of the Karate Kid film series and its sequel television series, Cobra Kai.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, Daniel moves to Reseda, California with his mother, Lucille, as a teenager. There, he faces bullying from local karate students trained at the Cobra Kai dojo.
He is taken under the wing of Mr. Kesuke Miyagi, a wise Okinawan karate master, who teaches him a defensive style of karate and valuable life lessons. Daniel's training culminates in him winning the All-Valley Karate Tournament in 1984.
Throughout the film series, Daniel continues to learn from Mr. Miyagi and faces various challenges related to karate and personal growth. In Cobra Kai, set decades later, Daniel is a successful car dealership owner and family man. He re-enters the world of karate when his old rival, Johnny Lawrence, reopens the Cobra Kai dojo, rekindling their rivalry.
